Jehan Couture

Jehan has always enjoyed "making" things: as a child, she would watch her mother knitting and sewing and by the early age of seven she was able to knit, sew and embroider.

In fact, her mother had a huge influence on Jehan; her great sense of style and her beauty inspired Jehan's interest and love of fashion.

Jehan's own original style evolved from her early years, when she would secretly use her mother's fabrics and sewing machine to make her own creations .

In 1994 she went Ealing Art College, where she studied Art & Design, 3D Design and Photography and she then started incorporating her project ideas into her designs.

She left in 1997 (before completing her degree course), eager to persue a career in fashion. She worked in accounts whilst building up her design portfolio.

In 1999 she received a substantial commission - her first major client.

In 2000 she was asked to design a collection to be included in the first of many Fashion Shows to follow.

In 2001, having made the decision to complete her degree, she enrolled at the London College of fashion and graduated with Honours.

She has since worked with some of the biggest names in the fashion industry and established her own label. She has a loyal group of clients, among which are some high profile and celebrated names.
